What is Gals on the Go?Gals on the Go is a travel group founded by women, for women over 45, designed for solo adventurers seeking connection, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned solo traveler or new to exploring on your own, our adventures blend relaxation, excitement, and camaraderie.

Who are Gals on the Go adventures for?Our adventures are crafted for women 45+ who may not always have a travel buddy but want to explore with like-minded women. We welcome all women who share a passion for travel, connection, and making memories, regardless of physical ability or experience level.

What kind of adventures do you offer?We offer a variety of experiences, from relaxing weekend getaways to thrilling, adventure-packed journeys, both domestic and international. Each adventure includes sightseeing, cultural experiences, outdoor activities, and moments to unwind.

How large are your travel groups?Group sizes are kept small, usually between 7-15 women, allowing for meaningful connections and a personalized experience where everyone gets the attention they deserve.

How are the adventures organized?We handle all planning—from accommodations to activities and some meals—allowing you to simply arrive, relax, and enjoy! Each itinerary offers a mix of group activities and free time for exploration or relaxation.

Do I have to share a room?We understand the importance of personal comfort, so we offer single-room options on most adventures. Room sharing is available for those who prefer a shared experience and would like to save on costs. Room details are provided for each adventure, and we aim to accommodate room preferences as best as possible.

I’m new to solo travel. Is Gals on the Go right for me?Absolutely! Many of our members are new to solo travel. Our welcoming community and supportive leaders make it easy to travel with confidence, make friends, and enjoy every moment.

What’s included in the adventure cost?The cost generally covers accommodations, some meals, guided tours, bucket-list excursions, and planned group activities. Flights and optional add-ons are typically not included; each itinerary outlines what’s covered.

How do I book an adventure?Visit our NEXT ADVENTURES at galsonthegotravel.com for an overview of each adventure. Use the “How to Register?” button on each page to start booking. Once registered, you’ll receive an email with a link to our payment page. Your deposit secures your spot.

Do I need travel insurance?While not required, travel insurance is highly recommended for peace of mind and coverage in unexpected situations. We can provide recommended options if needed.

Do you offer payment plans?After your deposit, we can arrange a monthly payment plan. The full balance must be paid 60 days before the adventure start date.

How can I pay?We accept all major credit cards (subject to a 3.5% processing fee) or Zelle payments (to galsonthegotravel@gmail.com) to avoid fees. Zelle is our preferred method as it offers additional bank protection and avoids credit card processing fees.

Can I invite a friend to join me on an adventure?Yes! While we’re a solo travel group, friends and family members are welcome to join you on adventures. Many join solo, and others bring a companion, creating a blend of both.

Are food and drinks included?Inclusions vary per adventure. Each itinerary outlines which meals are covered.

Are airport transfers included?Transfers vary by destination. We do our best to accommodate and arrange airport transfers when possible.

What kind of accommodations can I expect?Expect high-quality, 4-star-plus accommodations. Our destinations use country-specific rating systems, but we ensure comfortable, high-quality stays.

Is there a minimum number of participants for each adventure?Yes, a minimum number of participants is required. While this has never happened, if we don’t meet the minimum and need to cancel, deposits will be refunded (minus any credit card processing fees).

How can I connect with other travelers before the adventure?About a month before each adventure, we create a private Facebook Messenger group for attendees to ask questions and get to know each other. Additionally, at least 30 days prior we’ll schedule a pre-trip Zoom meeting, so everyone can connect face-to-face, discuss details, and start the journey together.

How can I join the Gals on the Go community?Joining Gals on the Go is simple—just sign up for a trip or join our email list! You can also join our private Facebook group, Gals on the Go: Solo, But Never Alone - a 45+ Women's Travel Group. Membership is free, and you’re welcome to participate in as many adventures as you’d like.
